Before joining the Department of Statistics at NC State, I was in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at UIC. My PhD is from the Department of Statistics at Purdue University in 2009.

Asymptotics, Bayes and empirical Bayes, foundations of statistical inference, high- and infinite-dimensional problems, imprecise probability, mixture models, etc.

07/17/2019: Our paper Satellite conjunction analysis and the false confidence theorem appeared today on the Proceedings of the Royal Society, Series A website.

07/12/2019: A revised version of my paper on false confidence, non-additive beliefs, and valid statistical inference is available on arXiv and comments are welcome at Researchers.One. This version was recently published in the special issue of the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning dedicated to papers presented at the BELIEF/SMPS 2018 conference in Compiegne, France.
