On a UNIX machine, download the compressed, 'tarred' 
  file named 'nmosa00.tar.Z' to the directory where 
  you want the files stored.  Then next uncompress this file:
    uncompress nmosa00.tar.Z
  which will then just create the 'tarred' file.  The
  last step is to 'untar' it
    tar -xvf nmosa00.tar
  which creates a directory named 'aug00' and within
  that directory are two files 'copyrght' and 'notes'
  and the 13 directories (one for each chapter) with
  the Fortran files within them.
