Emanuel Parzen is well known in the areas of time series analysis, stochastic processes, change point analysis, and analysis of data in
general. He has published numerous papers and written or edited six books. Dr. Parzen's talk is entitled "Unified Applicable Statistics:
Approach to all Statistics."
- Peter Bloomfield, Department of Statistics, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC
Peter Bloomfield is a celebrated statistician, having published numerous papers on time series analysis, with applications to climatology
and data on tourism, and has authored two well-known books. Dr. Bloomfield was a recent member of the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, along with former Vice President Al Gore.
