Hi Phil, I have some remarks I've enumerated below. They're just thoughts that occurred to me as I read the manuscript. Regards, Jason Comments on "Centrifuge Solids/Liquid Separation of Swine Flushed Manure and Lagoon Sludge" [1] P. 14, line 7-13, I might word things this way: "For both flushed manure and lagoon sludge, the six pairwise comparisons of mean inputs across treatment combinations K,L,CF and LCF were carried out using Tukey's procedure to control the experimentwise error rate at p=0.05. For the percentage removal of mass across treatments, input concentration explained a substantial amount of variability for some parameters, so it was included in analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) models. Pairwise comparisons among treatment means were made using a Bonferroni correction to control the experimentwise error in these cases." [2] p. 27, line 17, I think a sentence got chopped off, since the line ends "...for COD. were in the order..." [3] p. 29, lines 35-38, "Adding lime only (L) did not significantly affect the amount of removal in any parameter. The CF treatment did significantly increase removal to 75% for SS, but not for any TP or TKN. [4] p. 29, line 40. There are two periods at the end of the sentence ending "...CF treatment.". You might consider inserting this kind of sentence at this point "This suggests an interaction effect between lime and the coagulant/flocculant treatment; the effect of adding both is greater than the sum of the effects of adding each component individually."
