Copy and Paste

UNIX:

  1. Highlight the text.
  2. Move the cursor to where you want to paste.
  3. Hit the middle mouse button.

PC:

  1. Highlight the text.
  2. Go up to edit and click on copy.
  3. Move the cursor to where you want to paste.
  4. Go up to edit and click on paste.

Often you can substitute right mouse clicks to get a menu from which you can click on copy and then paste.


Telnet or SSH from PC:

  1. Highlight the text.
  2. Go up to edit and click on copy.
  3. Move the cursor to where you want to paste.
    ( If you are pasting into the telnet window, it will paste at the prompt.)
  4. Go up to edit and click on paste.
Some telnet windows do not have a clickable edit at the top. Instead

  1. Hit the right mouse button and click on Mark.
  2. Highlight the text.
  3. Move the cursor to where you want to paste.
    (If you are pasting into the telnet window, it will paste at the prompt.)
  4. Hit the right mouse button and click on Paste.
